Welcome To ARMS
This is a new family operated staffing agency formed by myself, Danise Petticrew, a Family Nurse Practitioner to meet the needs of remote Alaska Clinics. I have been a nurse for 10 years and a FNP for 34 years. The past 7 years my career has taken me to the remote clinics as an itinerant. None of my other jobs could have prepared me as a a medical provider for this one of a kind experience in an Alaska remote clinic setting. Much autonomy, various work requirements outside of direct patient care and a passion for medical needs of the community.
ARMS is family managed by myself as a Nurse Practitioner; my daughter, Brianna Covington as a Nurse and my son, Josh as a Paramedic. We all three contribute to the unique needs of staffing in the remote clinics. There is a current shortage of staff, particularly with the Community Health Aids and Advanced Practicing Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants). Our goal is to staff the remote clinics with medically trained alternative staffing, the nurses and medics to help where there are limited CHA. In addition, provide itinerant Family Nurse Practitioners. Our staff at ARMS represents the needs of the medical trained staffing and hope to expand our employees who will be quality trained staff for the unique job which the remote clinics require. Retention is critical and with support from ARMS staff who have a variety of medical skills, I believe this will make our staffing successful.
